Turku Death Metaller’s CONCRETE ICON have existed in various forms since mid 2007. While their earlier material nodded heavily towards the slower and doom-ier side of death metal, the current incarnation has grown into a punishing monstrosity that spews the venom of the classic US-style death metal while still honoring their European roots.

The band’s first EP was released in 2012 followed by full lengths in 2013 and 2019. During the time the pandemic swept the earth in 2020, Concrete Icon saw the return of original lead guitarist Juho. Soon after, the band was in the middle of recording two new songs with their rejuvenated line-up and Redefining Darkness are very proud to share with you the fruits of their labor. These two songs are a taste of what’s to come in 2022, as the band’s next album has been fully written and they are currently in rehearsing stages getting ready to hit the studio.
